The salon industry has been significantly impacted since the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Salon spacing has to be altered in a way to comply with social distancing guidelines. Styling stations should be at least 6’ apart and this has limited the capacity in salons. Salon owners are either going into individual suites, operating a salon in their own homes, or making use of outdoor space if feasible. One type of product offering are mobile and fixed partitions to help serve as barriers in between the styling stations or at the shampoo wash sinks. A few different laminate finishes with the option of opaque or frosted acrylic panels in various sizes can be specified.

Belvedere Maletti offers clear vinyl chair covers that slip over the back rest of our styling chairs to help keep them clean and sanitized after each client. This is also a smart solution to prolong the upholstery from wear and tear. We recommend The Salon Chair Guy’s salon chair cleaner which is a non-toxic, environmentally friendly product to remove hair product build up on the vinyl of the chairs. It is recommended to use this product in order to clean the vinyl first and then disinfect properly. A chrome cleaner and vinyl and leather cleaner are also available.
All of these products are necessary investments to help keep salon spaces as safe and clean as possible as we live in these unprecedented times. With these measures in place, clients and stylists should feel comfortable and confident when they do come in for services.
